What is the Investment Banker (Specialties) role?

Investment bankers work in an advisory capacity to corporations and governments. They help companies raise money in the capital markets, assist with mergers and acquisitions and provide financial advisory services. Although investment banking can be a high-pressure job and might require long hours, it continues to be highly sought after as it offers the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions while paying extremely well. This position can help one understand exactly how a company works and how a company is potentially valued and hence helps build a robust skillset.
