Is high inflation coming back? Most Canadians have not seen inflation above 4% in their adult lives. However, the strong economic rebound after the initial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has created concern among investors about the potential threat of rising inflation. This course provides an overview of inflation and discusses current economic conditions in the context of inflation expectations. The course then examines different asset classes and their sensitivity to inflation to help you understand how different investments behave in inflationary environments. When you complete the course, you should be able to adjust your clients’ portfolios to protect them against the effect of inflation on their performance.
