A position in Equity sales is one of the most dynamic roles in the financial sector. People working in this position serve as the link between their firm and the investors; which is why a large part of this role entails relationship management while constantly aiming at optimizing the allocation of the firm's resources. This position usually offers the flexibility to build one's own style and approach towards selling products to investors while remaining compliant with the firm's regulations. The role entails being the face of the firm and reaching out to potential clients and managing existing ones while constantly staying up-to-date with the firm's products and to monitor market activity.

Responsibilities Include

  • Being up to date with all the firm's products
  • Constantly engaging existing and potential clients with investment ideas
  • Taking the lead on responding to RFPs
  • Creating presentations to ensure alignment with the prospect and opportunity
  • Furthering the relationship between the firm and its existing and prospective clients by providing them with regular information on the firm's products and maintaining a dialogue
