The Senior Personal Banker is responsible for establishing and growing loyal, long term relationships with clients who have evolving personal banking needs. The person in this role typically has a portfolio of 350 to 500 clients for whom they provide comprehensive personal service and financial advice. The role focuses on attracting and retaining clients through continual discovery of new banking opportunities. The Senior Personal Banker must also develop relationships with internal partners and specialists throughout the organization.They are responsible for increasing revenue from existing portfolios and generating new revenue by acquiring new customers through targeted referrals. They are expected to have flexible schedules to support the new retail branch model of expanded hours of operation.
Typically, a person enters this position with 2 years' experience and an undergraduate university or college degree. They should have completed either the CSC or IFC as well as the Certificate in Financial Services Advice. They may have started as a Teller, Universal Banker, or Personal Banker. The typical age range is 24 to 34.
