This course will teach students how to deliver targeted small business solutions in a trusted, knowledgeable, manner.
Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
- Construct credit recommendations featuring comprehensive risk analysis
- Develop proposals meeting established credit granting guidelines
- Effectively conduct a client meeting
- Accurately validate client information
- Develop credit proposals
- Construct small business credit applications
- Evaluate credit quality
- Detect red flags that indicate a client's ability to repay a loan
- Analyze and interpret business financial statements to determine the client's capacity to meet credit qualifying guidelines

** In order to provide some guidance to course participants as to the length of time it will take to be sufficiently prepared to write the final examination, CSI has prepared this estimate of the number of hours an average participant could possibly expect to spend studying for a course. Please note that these are only recommended hours of study developed based on research and our course content, however, this does not mean that some students with exceptional backgrounds would not take less time than recommended or that students with no background at all in finance or economics would not take longer than the maximum.
This course has one online test (not proctored) component which students must pass. This includes testing of all material covered within the course. The test questions are randomly generated and the mark is documented in the student record and archived in the student profile per attempt.

*Students will have three attempts ONLY to complete the test for this course. There is no additional charge for the second or third attempts. If you fail all three attempts you will have to re-enrol in the course.

The DSBS exam is completely online and accessible through your online course. Advance booking is not required.
