Financial Planning Knowledge Review (FPKR)

Passing the Financial Planning Knowledge Review (FPKR) allows you to challenge the AFP exams and transition to the new PFP® Designation

Successful completion of the Financial Planning Knowledge Review (FPKR) is required for holders of the original PFP wanting to transition to the new Personal Financial PlannerŪ designation but have completed their original education more than five years ago.

The FPKR is designed to confirm individuals are familiar with current and updated knowledge of products, regulations and financial planning processes. Holders of the original PFP must pass the FKPR prior to challenging the Applied Financial Planning (AFP) certification exams and earning the new PFP® designation.

Upon enrolment, you will have access to the most recent version of the Financial Planning I and Financial Planning II textbooks (PDF version) and the online exam.

Note: The FPKR does not replace the study effort required to challenge the AFP certification exams, nor does it exempt candidates from the requirements to hold the PFP®. Review the PFP® requirements here.
