The Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM®), previously known as the Chartered Professional (Ch.P.) Strategic Wealth designation will set you apart as a trusted financial consultant and exceptional source of wealth management expertise. You’ll be in a position to coordinate every financial, and financially related, aspect of your clients’ lives.
You’ll learn how to establish and work from an extensive understanding of your client’s personality, circumstances and goals to plan and implement a comprehensive financial strategy. This strategy not only includes the innovative and exclusive vehicles and structures that wealth makes available, but also related professional services that support your overall strategy over the long term.
Your business will be based on your unique position in the lives of your clients as you anticipate and guide them and their families through the shifts and changes leading up to and through retirement. Your business growth will be organic and driven by relationship and referrals.
To earn The Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM®) designation, you must first meet the following requirements:
When enrolling in a course, you may take Building High Net Worth, Managing High Net Worth or the Wealth Management Essentials† course in any order. You must, however successfully complete all components before enrolling in the Strategic Wealth 360.
To be eligible to enrol in the Strategic Wealth 360, you must have at least 3 years of experience working directly with, or in support of, the wealth management needs of retail clients.
Once you have successfully completed the Strategic Wealth 360 you may then apply for your Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM®) designation.
*Students possessing CFP®, CIM, FMA, FCSI®, CLU, PFP® and CFA designations as well as those who have successfully completed their PFPC or IMT courses are exempt from the WME prerequisite.
†CSI strongly recommends completing the WME course before enrolling in either Building High Net Worth or Managing High Net Worth as it supplies the foundational knowledge necessary to succeed in these courses.
