CSI partners with Securities Association of China to provide Guangfa Securities with financial services training

TORONTO, August 29, 2007 - CSI Global Education Inc. (CSI), Canada’s leading financial services training institute, held a special graduation ceremony today for employees of one of China’s top securities firms. The 28 graduates, representing China’s fourth largest securities firm, Guangfa Securities, were part of the longest and largest training program ever held for a Chinese securities company outside of their home country.

"Canada’s expertise in the financial services industry coupled with our high-level of proficiency standards can help accelerate the growth of capital markets globally. This new program is designed to bring Canadian financial practices and operations to one of the world’s fastest growing financial services markets: China," said Dr. Roberta Wilton, President and CEO of CSI.

The two month program was the result of a partnership between CSI and the Securities Association of China (SAC), China’s national self regulatory organization for the securities industry. Built on Canadian financial services best practices, the in-depth program was taught by professionals from many of Canada’s top financial services firms. The subjects covered ranged from comparisons of financial markets and investment options to advanced cases in investment banking operations, risk management and strategic wealth management. The training program, called the Canada-China Advanced Certificate Program for Securities Firm Operations and Management, also included the CSI flagship Canadian Securities Course ®, the country’s benchmark in securities education, as well as panel discussions by industry experts and business visits to leading Canadian financial services companies.

“There is a growing demand for the type of professional financial services education that Canada has to offer,” said Wilton. “Exporting CSI’s Canadian financial industry best practices and expertise will not only help develop growing capital markets such as China, but also develop important business relationships between Canadian and Chinese financial services companies. Today’s graduation is an important benchmark in the growing partnership between Canada and China for both financial services and financial services education.”

“In any endeavour, education is the key to success and Canada, through CSI, has a strong reputation in financial services education,” said Dr. Li, President of Guangfa Securities. “Working with CSI, we have made a strong investment in our people and in the future of our company. Our work here will benefit Guangfa greatly in China’s rapidly growing marketplace.”

Mr Haining Huang, Guangfa’s General Manager for Guangzhou, took part in the training program, and is confident that the education they received from CSI will be of great benefit back home.

“The program provided us with practical knowledge of securities firm operations and tools we can use to effectively compete in the financial services industry. We are looking forward to using our new knowledge and insight to grow our business in China,” Mr Huang said.

The graduation ceremony took place at Toronto’s City Hall. In attendance were officials from Guangfa Securities, CSI and other industry representatives. Janet Ecker, former Ontario Finance Minister, and now head of the Toronto Financial Services Alliance was a guest speaker.
