Much has been written in the financial press since the implementation of CRM2, however it is not an exaggeration to say that this regulation can be a game-changer for advisors and the industry.

While most advisors will continue to have healthy, long-term relationships with clients, problems may still arise with the new requirements for greater transparency with respect to fees and performance. A scenario where a client loses money combined with statements showing an advisor earning thousands of dollars in fees could make for some challenging client-advisor conversations if not handled effectively.
