We have been working with our partner, Prometric, to modernize our exam delivery formats to provide students with greater flexibility, safety and a better overall exam-taking experience.
On December 8, 2020, we introduced Remotely Proctored exams and expanded our existing Computer-Based Testing (CBT) capacity to exam centres outside of Toronto and Montreal—to 14 major Canadian cities (St. John's (NL), Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver) and internationally. Students can also take the exam via remote proctoring from the comfort of their home or office.
WHAT IS REMOTE PROCTORING?
Remote proctoring is an online exam delivery format that allows students in remote locations or areas still under COVID-19-related restrictions to write their proctored exams safely. Students can take their exams from the comfort of their home or office without travelling to an exam centre. Here are some benefits of remote proctoring:
- Increases the flexibility and accessibility to book and write exams. Exams in English are available 24/7 from Mondays to Fridays and French exams are available from 9 am to 5 pm Mondays-Fridays.
- Provides immediate pass-fail grade with official results within 24 hours.
- Improved interface and tools to manage time during the exam (time remaining, flag questions, highlight words).
- Provides secure and encrypted testing.

WHAT IS COMPUTER-BASED TESTING AT AN EXAM CENTRE?
Computer-Based Testing (CBT) at an Exam Centre is an in-person exam at a dedicated test centre that provides a comfortable and quiet environment to write your exam. All our exam centres follow strict social distancing guidelines for the safety of our students and staff. Here are some benefits of computer-based testing at an exam centre:
- Increases the availability of exam sessions. You can book your exam upto 2 days in advance (depending on availability) at no additional cost. You don't have to pay express booking fees.
- Provides immediate pass-fail grade with officials results within 24 hours.
- Improved interface and tools to manage time during the exam (time remaining, flag questions, highlight words).
- Provides secure and encrypted testing.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR EXAM?
To book your exam:
- Log into your student profile using your student ID and password.
- Select "book exam" for the course exam you wish to write.
- Click 'ok' in the box to indicate that you have checked for any course updates before proceeding.
- Follow the screen choices to select either an in-person (in a test centre) or a remotely proctored exam.
- Select a location and time. Please see the table below for the available cities and timing. Click here to view our international locations.
- If you are writing a second or third attempt, your final step will be to make the payment.
Once booked, you will receive an exam confirmation email that will include important information. Please take the time to read this carefully. The same confirmation email can be found under "my messages" when you log into your student profile. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 20 minutes of booking your exam, please check to ensure your booking was successful.
Important: Before booking a remotely proctored exam, you must ensure that you have access to appropriate computer hardware and internet specifications.
- Complete the ProProctor system check to confirm your system's compatibility. We strongly recommend that you use a home computer/laptop instead of your employer's computer as most firms have firewalls that will prevent the downloading of the exam even if the system check is successfully completed.

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION POLICY
Rescheduling
To reschedule your exam, you must first cancel your current booking (if a rewrite fee was paid it will be refunded to you). You must cancel this exam with more than 9 calendar days to avoid late cancelation fees. If your exam is a rewrite you will be prompt for this payment at the time of rescheduling your exam.
Late Cancelations
If you provide 9 or more calendar days to cancel your exam you will not incur the late cancelation fee. If you provide less than 9 but more than 3 calendar days, you will be subject to the late cancelation fees.
No Shows
If you provide 3 or less calendar days to cancel your exam or if you do not appear for your exam you will be charged a no show fee.
