You have several options for canceling or changing an existing exam sitting date:

  • Go online and log on using your student ID and password. Click the “Exams” link in the main menu then select “Cancel/Reschedule My Exam” and follow the instructions.

How many times can I attempt an exam?

For most CSI courses, you may attempt an exam a maximum of three times during your course enrolment period, including any extensions you may have purchased. A few exceptions (eg the AFP) do exist; please visit your course detail page for more information.

If you have completed a course in the past and would like to take the course again, you can re-enrol in the course at any time.

However, if you’re enrolled in one of these courses and have attempted and failed the maximum number of alotted attempts during your course enrolment, your enrolment will be terminated and you will need to re-enrol in the same course. You are eligible to re-enrol in the course six months from your last exam attempt.

You are eligible to enrol in any other CSI course for which you qualify while you are waiting for this period to expire

Can I request a re-mark of my examination?

We are extremely careful during the marking process. In fact, all failed multiple-choice exams are automatically reprocessed before exam results are released. However, if you want to have your exam answer sheet re-scanned an additional time, you may request a re-evaluation. A fee will apply.

You also have the opportunity to request a re-evaluation of any short-answer or case exam. The exam will be sent to a different marker for re-marking. A fee will apply.

If you failed your exam and want to request an exam re-evaluation, please send an Exam Re-evaluation Request Form within four weeks of the notification of your failure to CSI Customer Support. Click to download an Exam Re-evaluation Request Form. Please note that exam re-evaluations cannot be requested by phone.

Are pilot or "test" questions included on CSI exams?

To continuously improve the quality of our exams, we test a small number of pilot questions during each examination. (These questions may be included on future examinations.) The time allocated for the examination takes these pilot questions into consideration. In addition, the calculation of your final mark does not include the pilot questions.
