Commodities, particularly precious metals, offer an appealing investment opportunity during periods of high inflation and economic uncertainty. However, volatility in the commodity markets can be dramatic, as we have seen over the past couple of decades.

Royalty and streaming companies are specialized firms that provide financing to mining companies in exchange for a share of their future production. These companies offer access to precious metals without exposing the investors to the risk they would face through direct investment in the companies that mine them.

In this course, you will learn about the origins of royalty and streaming companies and the main features, benefits, and risks for investors. When you have completed the course, you will be able to assess the suitability of investments in these companies for your clients’ portfolios and recommend them for inclusion where appropriate.
