To help you begin a promising career in Canada’s financial market, CSI offers two foundational licensing courses:
The CSC® is a baseline regulatory requirement to perform mutual funds and alternative funds transactions in most financial services positions in Canada.
You will gain a better understanding of the financial services landscape in Canada and sharpen your knowledge about various financial instruments like equities, liquid alts, managed and structured products, derivatives and more.
View active jobs that require the CSC®
The IFC delivers foundational knowledge that provides advisors substantial support to effectively guide clients on mutual fund investments based on a client’s objectives, timeline and risk tolerance.
You will also gain a stronger grounding in a mutual fund’s legal, ethical and professional responsibilities. Once you successfully complete the course, you will earn the Mutual Fund Dealer – Dealing Representative License.
View active jobs that require the IFC
Depending on the level of financial experience you have in your home country, our comprehensive Career Map can help guide you through the financial areas that will suit you best.
You can search by courses, credentials or careers to better your understanding of the financial marketplace and how to navigate it successfully.
ExplorePGP Academy
CSI partners with PGP Academy to provide residents of India, who are interested in moving to Canada in order to work in the financial services industry, with the knowledge that financial service employers are seeking when hiring financial advisory staff. The educational program is entitled: “The Certificate in Canadian Financial Services” (CCFS). The program consists of 5 CSI courses, including the Investment Funds Course (IFC) which is the licensing course for individuals that enables them to sell mutual funds in Canada.
Acces Employment
We partner with ACCES Employment Canada to provide newcomers with real-life exposure through training, helpful tips, tools and resources about entering the Canadian financial services market. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, ACCES Employment offers employment programs that are free of charge.
While some sector-specific programs have a fee that is eligible for financial reimbursement through an Ontario government bursary, you can sit down with an Employment Consultant and learn more about the services available to you.
Through our partnership, you will learn best practices to ace interviews, create winning resumes and how to obtain CSI credentials to help you land your dream job.
